Spring 1 Week 2

It has been a busy first full week back in Ospreys after the holidays and all the children have settled back into the school routines and following our school values and promises.

In Maths, we have been continuing with addition and subtraction and learning about inverse operations and problem-solving. In English, we have started our new class book, The Boy Who Biked the World Part 2: The Americas. We wrote our predictions for the story before reading the first chapter, which was all about bananas!

In science, we have started a new topic about animals and bones and discussed why we need bones.

We started our new topic in Geography, 'How does the weather impact Florida?'. We looked at where Florida is and thought about what we already knew about their weather.

We have been busy preparing for our class assembly which is next Friday 19th January at 2.30pm. We look forward to sharing our work with everyone.

The star of the week is Orion. Orion has focused well on all his lessons this week and has had a positive attitude to his learning. Well done Orion.

Please continue to practice time stables at home on timetable Rockstars.

Please continue to read 5x at home as part of home learning.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Miss Boddy :)
