Spring 2 Week 2

We have had a great second week back at school and everyone has been working hard in class.

In English, we have been exploring different types of poems and comparing them. We then focused on a poem called The Sea by James Reeves. First, all the children were given a different line, and then had fun trying to predict what the poem was about.

In Maths, we have been reviewing the multiples of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 that we have been learning and using these to help us with our timetables.

The children started a new topic in science this week, all about rocks. They were all enthusiastic about sharing what they already knew and looking forward to learning more about rocks.

We are continuing to look at the weather in Geography. We have been comparing the rainfall in the UK and Florida and exploring which country has more rain and why.

Ospreys had their first reading buddy session with our Owls class on Friday. They were all amazing and read really well with their Owls buddy.

The children have been practising hard for the Easter service which takes place during the last week of term.

Star of the week this week is Max. Max has been a role model in our yoga lessons this term and has been focused and working hard. Well done Max!

It is World Book Day on Thursday. Please remember to bring in a story hat based on a favourite book. There will be lots of activities going on next week too.

We have our linger and learn session on Tuesday morning from 9am - 9.30am. We are looking forward to sharing our learning with you.

Please continue to read 5x a week.

Thank you for your support.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Miss Boddy :)
