Spring 2 Week 4

It has been another busy week in Ospreys!

In English, we have been learning more about poems. We have been learning about alliteration and powerful verbs and how these are used by poets. We had fun trying to write sentences using as many words as we could that started with the first letter of our name.

In Maths, we have continued to learn multiplication and division using different strategies. The children have been using their times table knowledge to support them.

In Science, children have been learning about how fossils are made and produced some great work and pictures to demonstrate their learning.

The children have been working hard on writing a report in Geography about what they have learnt about the weather in Florida and how this impacts them.

We had lots of fun on Friday sharing our jokes for Comic relief with the Owls class during our reading buddy session. We also shared the book called 'The book with no pictures' which had everyone laughing!

Star of the week this week is Hamish. Hamish has been focusing well during lessons and doing his best to follow our school promises. Well done Hamish!

A letter was given to children last week about our school trip to Marwell Zoo on 19th April. Please let me know if you didn't receive a letter.

Please continue to read 5 x a week and practice times tables as part of homework.

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Boddy :)
